We are delighted to announce that Dion Russell has joined the Milestone family as a Senior Qualified Settlement Fund Project Manager. In this role, Dion manages qualified settlement funds from initiation to closure. She collaborates with law firms with regard to their settlement data, and she works with the greater QSF team to ensure Milestone meets all goals and exceeds client expectations. Working in Atlanta, GA, Dion also has a part in our QSF accounting, database management, claimant payments, client relationship building, and much more.
We asked Dion a few questions about her life and career to get to know her better. Read what she had to say below.
What do you like about living in Atlanta?
I appreciate being close to my family. The weather is great, and the houses are beautiful. Also, while living in Atlanta I can now be part of a larger Caribbean community.
What is meaningful to you about working with mass torts?
In mass torts, I’m always learning new skills in technology and making great connections with influential attorneys. My knowledge of the legal industry is always growing. It’s fulfilling to be able to exceed expectations and gain new business from repeat clients.
What attracted you to Milestone?
One of Milestone’s clients introduced me to the position of Senior QSF Project Manager, and I thought it would be a good fit. I can share my expertise in QSF and mass torts while contributing to the company’s growth. When I realized Milestone was a company I actually had previously worked with about 10 years ago, I was even more excited.
What are some interesting facts about you?
I enjoy preparing taxes for my friends and family. I also assist them with probate and bankruptcy needs. I’m a notary public for the state of GA. I spent about eight years in healthcare administration, working in hospital finance. In addition, I like to plan events and throw elaborate parties. I enjoy looking at beautiful homes and once considered a career in real estate.
