We are so pleased to welcome Leanne Lettow to Milestone, where she will be working as a staff accountant! A New York native, she comes to us with over three years of experience working in public accounting, focusing on both tax and audit at Chiampou Travis Besaw Kershner, LLP. This experience and her enthusiasm for community volunteerism made her the perfect addition to our growing team! We were able to catch up with Leanne and ask her a few questions. Here’s what she had to say.

Where did you attend school and what did you study?

I attended Niagara University for my bachelor’s in accounting and my MBA with a focus in accounting.

What led you to Milestone?

When looking to depart from public accounting, I came across Milestone, [a company that] has strong core values and morals [and a desire] to help the public. The Milestone team is knowledgeable and passionate about helping to provide the client with the best outcome possible in any situation that arises. Combining these things with their effort and hard work to give back to the community, I knew it would be an excellent place to expand my career.

What is something unique about your life?

I try to travel to a new country ever year (outside of our new covid realm). I also coached volleyball for 5 years for club travel (NCVC) and at Tonawanda High School. Coaching was my way of giving back to the volleyball community, as I grew up playing since I was 6 years old!

What do you enjoy most about living and working in Buffalo?

I grew up on Long Island and moved to Buffalo in 2014. I love the atmosphere in Buffalo, the amazing fanbase when it comes to a Bills game, and – most importantly – the chicken wings!
