BUFFALO, N.Y. – Milestone  has named Savannah Green as the recipient of the 2022 Trial LawHER Scholarship. This $10,000 scholarship is awarded annually to a 3L woman law student who intends to become a plaintiff trial lawyer. Green attends Stetson University College of Law and beat out applicants from law schools across the country to be named winner of the 2022 competition.

The Trial LawHER Scholarship intends to enact change on two fronts: elevate rising women leaders in the plaintiff trial lawyer space and educate around the importance of settlement planning. In order to be considered, applicants must be female, enrolled in a 3L law school program, and have plans to become a plaintiff trial lawyer. Green was selected as this year’s scholarship recipient based on the contents of her essay and video submissions.

“Savannah’s grasp on the scope and magnitude of settlement planning truly stood out among the applications we received,” said Amy Fogle, CEO of Milestone and member of the scholarship selection committee. “It’s encouraging to see the next generation of trial lawyers embracing this crucial step in the civil justice process.”

Green is a standout at Stetson University College of Law, serving as president of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers at Stetson, as well as editor of the Stetson Journal of Advocacy and the Law. After graduation, Green has accepted a position with law firm Aylstock, Witkin, Kreis, & Overholtz in her hometown of Pensacola, Florida.

“I am incredibly honored and grateful to have been chosen for the 2022 Milestone Trial LawHER Scholarship,” said Green. “I am proud to play a role in promoting education around female empowerment in the legal field and the importance of settlement planning in the civil justice system, especially as an eager future plaintiff’s attorney.”

Milestone is a nationally recognized QSF administration and settlement planning firm built on achieving secure financial futures for trial lawyers and plaintiffs post-settlement. The Trial LawHER Scholarship was created in 2021 by Milestone founder John Bair to counteract the male-dominated state of the civil justice space and equip the next generation of attorneys with the knowledge they need to best support their clients at the time of settlement.

Applications for the 2023 cycle of the Trial LawHER Scholarship competition will open early next year. For more information on Milestone or the Trial LawHER Scholarship, visit https://milestoneseventh.com/trial-lawher-scholarship/
