Scholarship program awards up to $45,000 annually to aspiring female legal advocates
Milestone, a leading settlement services trustee focused on elevating the post-settlement experience through proactive and personalized client service, is proud to announce the 2026 Milestone Trial LawHER Scholarship, a national scholarship initiative designed to support women pursuing careers as plaintiff trial lawyers.
Administered through Scholarship America, the nation’s leading scholarship administrator, the program will award one $25,000 scholarship and up to two $10,000 scholarships annually to qualified law students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to client-centered advocacy.
The scholarship reflects Milestone’s ongoing commitment to elevating the future of the legal profession by empowering women leaders in plaintiff litigation and reinforcing the importance of compassionate, client-focused representation.
“Plaintiff trial lawyers play a critical role in helping people navigate some of the most difficult moments of their lives,” said John Bair, Founder of Milestone. “Through the Trial LawHER Scholarship, we hope to support talented women who are committed to advocating for clients with integrity, excellence, and empathy.”
Eligible applicants must:
- Be enrolled in a 2L or 3L law school program
- Plan to become a plaintiff trial lawyer
- Attend an ABA-accredited law school full-time during the upcoming academic year
- Self-identify as female
- Maintain a minimum 3.5 GPA
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
As part of the application process, students will submit an essay addressing the role of client service in trial law and the future of legal advocacy. Applications are reviewed and administered independently by Scholarship America.
